Report In-Game Rule Breakers / Re: Magic4life.

With the combat triangle implemented, magic attacks are now prone to fail. This is not against the rules, yet.

The way we are using macro is: The use of an external program to input repetitive and or complex commands without the need of a human.

From the evidence provided, we cannot conclude that he was using macro software of any kind. What was inferred was that he may have been attempting to damage the NPC whilst his magic attacks were failing as a result of negative bonus provided by his armor.

Now, there are many ways to approach this situation. Until we thoroughly overview this issue, it will not be against the rules, ONLY if the act does not associate a macro.

"Screenshots must be of your ENTIRE game screen, but cropping out the rest of your browser is okay (and preferred). If you are unsure how to crop your pictures, please click here. You may not block out or censor anything else that's going on in the screenshot, whether it's the chat box, game screen, private chats, etc. Doing this tampers with the evidence and makes it look like you may be hiding something that you don't want us to see. If that's the case, the report may be closed without any questions or actions being taken. All of this applies when posting a video as well."

Please read this before posting any further evidence within your abuse reports.

Sean, Letting other people in on what they created is definitely out of greed. I think.

It sure is, Jagex, now allowing investors to interfere with their development, now have to follow certain guidelines provided by the investors themselves. This could mean to conjure schemes to attract members, or new member content that will appeal more to the non-members than the members themselves just to increase the number of members.

Essentially Jagex was created to become a trademark for their products such as RuneScape and FunOrb to make money.

Well unfortunately Jagex is no longer 100% owned by the founders Andrew Gower and Pual Gower. Jagex is currently affiliated with three investors.

These investors are here for the money, as quoted from:

Investment Announcement  - Released Tuesday 8th February 2011

Quote
Brandon Gardner, a Partner at Raine, commented, "Jagex is the standout player in one of the most attractive and fastest growing segments of the games industry. We are excited with both the near- and long-term growth opportunities at the company, and look forward to working with Jagex's founders and management team to continue to develop their industry-leading MMOG platform."

The Free Trade and Wilderness was restored on the 1st of February 2011 which of course could be a result from the investors, stated 7 days after the release.

Dont worry, they will find a solution to stop all bots and the spammers.

No they wont.

They make money no matter what. Why would they kill off 40,000 players a day to make the legit 60,000 players happy. That's practically half their money being tossed in the trash in a day. That's why they keep feeding into them. They are destroying their own game over greed.

Jagex isn't alone anymore, maybe consider their decision to grant access by investors a bad choice.

Clans Recruitment / Re: THE HELPER CLAN
August 19, 2011, 02:18:19 PM
Please fellow these guidelines:

"If you plan to create a clan and make a new topic about it, then your first post must contain detail, including the positions in your clan. If you just make a topic saying "join my clan it's new.", then that doesn't show that you're serious about your clan and that you don't care, and it will just be dealt with as spam that way. If you don't give detail, your topic will be locked without reason and/or probably removed. You may, however, post it, give some detail like requirements, events, etc., then say you will be posting more detail later if you just don't have the time at the moment. Of course, you'll eventually have to come back to it later. For a very good example of a detailed clan topic, click here. A lot of topics in this board already have made a topic creating a clan, a week or two later, stop their clan completely. This is causing the front page to be spammed with dead clans that aren't ever used. So please, only if you are 100% sure and serious that you want the responsibility of creating a clan, then you may create a clan.
Note that any existing topics that have no detail may receive a warning, if not, will be locked. Any topics where the clan was only alive for a short period of time will be locked, if not, deleted."

I'd like you also to read the rest of the topic: Requirements For Starting a Clan.

You have a short time to revamp your post before it's removed, thanks.

Thank you for complying, it's best to conjure your post information before actually posting it.
