Title: Cross Dressing Rule?
Post by: Daxking on December 29, 2010, 02:40:31 AM
I'm ranting about how you can now get "Banned" for being the opposite sex and not telling people. I know it's disgusting and disturbing, but think about it. Sometimes don't you want to be diffrent and not yourself? I do get aggrivated when people fake it, but not enough for the player to get banned? It shouldn't matter that much to staff if somebody is somebody else.... THIS IS A GAME, NOT REALITY...  >:(

Zokian - Don't post on a forum if you have nothing to add.

@topic - Okay.
So.. I've heard this a couple of times, but only from random players and mainly as a joke about ZeldaGirl.
Was this actually announced as an OFFICIAL rule? 'cause I can't find it anywhere.
'nd if it wasn't, then I don't see the problem.

I agree with you Dax, I mean really. People do it so they can be someone different for a change.

What made you create this? Has anyone been banned over this recently?

All girls are men and all boys are undercover FBI agents watching the girls (men).

Yeah, Well Natalie is a guy. He made Natalie to make himself feel as a girl, and he went on an account called "Essar X" (A guy) and was stopped and an admin was saying who are you? and such and then they checked the ip and said to admit that he was Natalie and Double D and so then he didn't want to admit it. (Obviously because if you do then you can't act as it anymore?) And so he wanted to still keep it a secret and they were getting pissed that he kept it a secret. And I made this because that would be stupid reason to get banned. Yeah you lose a bit of respect for the person, but still doesn't make you feel the urge to ban them. And doesn't this server want people? I don't think banning cross dressors will help get them...

Well I was with the Admins and Mod and they said you can get banned, So i'm sure it's now a rule....

I know, Mute.
But the joking is usually based around that sole user. No one else.

Welp, I still can't find it anywhere.
'nd I've not been told by any admins or owners to take action about it or report it.
So to me, the rule is non-existent.

If someone was pretending to be a girl then told everyone they were a boy, I'd feel as though I can't trust them any more.

Maybe they do lose the trust of players ,but that's no reason to get banned.

You can never tell if a guy is posing as a Girl sadly, but what if they're Gay Irl? (I'm not towards them at all) but maybe they want to play the game also.. You never know.

In  my head, I feel like guys think that the girls get more of an advantage. Then they began to want to see and explore the life of a girl. I hope that make sense to you.. o.O
Title: Re: Cross Dressing Rule?
Post by: Insomnom on December 29, 2010, 03:23:46 PM

I don't really see the big deal, to be honest.
If that's what they want to do, it's not bothering me any.
The only possible problem it would cause is if they were doing it in a sexual manner.
But other than that... shit, it's the internet. If you want to pretend like you're a different gender, go for it.

Honestly, "she" was a nice player was annoying sometimes and i did suspect something weird with "she" since the 3rd time I've met that player "she" keeps on logging out soo fast before i can get a chance to respond...
Anyway.. Was "she" warned or given any sort of chance to correct "she" mistake?

It's the Internet. We are anonymous. Anonymous is legion. Anonymous cannot be stopped. Anonymous can be stopped with the ban hammer.

Title: Re: Cross Dressing Rule?
Post by: Sad Panda on December 29, 2010, 11:56:01 PM
It's known across the forums as the ZeldaGirl rule, like you mentioned earlier, but she was banned for multiple reasons. She was abusing her powers as a moderator. I forget if she was forum or in game. I was only on the forum for about 20 days while she was here. I personally don't mind if people do this because it is a lifestyle choice. It's like being a different sexual preference or a different religion. It's their choice.

I do not support it, however, when they are not honest about it or are not actually a transvestite in real life because then you are lying to us.

It's an unwritten one in the supposed code of ethics on here. No one else follows any of those other ethics so why do people have to follow that one?

Alright you're busted, Yet at the end of your post you still write "~natalie", Also your picture is still this anonymous girl that could get you in some serious trouble for using her identity and saying it's yours.

No offense but, Serves you right for doing that  >:(

Good point, Luke.

I never flirted with natalie. I remember someone said she was sexy on the adjective game.

Online dating is f*cking dumb. I never thought it was a good idea. Anyone who does it has serious social problems.

For the most part it is. If it is someone that you really really like an hope to one day meet in real life then I guess it's ok if it's just casual dating like people do in real life then it's really dumb.

You put a picture like Natalie's and you'd make all these horny 13 year olds jizz in their pants.

Oh yeah I almost forgot... Natalie could of been a 53 year old man, so all you e-dating nerds bare that in mind, other then that have a nice day.

Uh.. no?
If you've been friends with someone online for a very long time and wish to meet them you usually talk to them on the phone first and have at LEAST seen a LOT of pictures of them, if not cammed.
Plus, someones looks can't really harm you. -.-;
So shallow.

Well that is now part of my collection of funnies. I'll upload that folder some time...

Vee Dub, I'm good looking enough for the both of us so it'd be fine. Don't be so shallow, as Jazmin said.

I think Vee Dub is talking about say some young player starts flirting with a girl character and that girl is actually another boy/man.

Well lets get back on the subject..

@topic Cross dressing can be good and bad. In the first place why would you flirt? Many of you know that people secretly cross dress, and when you find out you get mad/upset.

You Can NEVER TRUST SOMEBODY IN THIS WORLD EXCEPT YOUR PARENTS.
@Topic: Just write all of the rules...And YES It's like luring in classic...so What's the point of hiding the rules?
Just INFORM us about all of the rules to keep safe from these stuff...
I don't know who's a boy or a girl in this game except certain guys.
And Yes....I get very fuckin upset and mad when i know the truth about cross dressing.
Title: Re: Cross Dressing Rule?
Post by: TROLOLOLOLOL on February 02, 2011, 05:06:38 PM
This clearly shouldn't be a rule. I should be able to go to varrock, talk to the makeover mage, and choose 'female' if I f*cking want to.
Title: Re: Cross Dressing Rule?
Post by: Dug on February 03, 2011, 01:30:47 AM
You can but if you read the previous posts one by one you would find out that Natalie ACTED as a girl.
It's alright to switch genders but acting as another will cause conflict,
For those of you who don't understand me, you're a male and you flirt with someone while in a female body to gain some sort of advantage.
Title: Re: Cross Dressing Rule?

Again, I should be able to act like a girl if I want to.
