Ok, I haven`t been on WSB for weeks now. Why? My computer is "broken"!!! Well, that's what I think and if you can help me, I will give ALL of my rares in WSC, as I have missed out on the WSB drop party :(
Here`s the problem: I turned it on, and it went to where you could do Safe Mode and stuff. I tried booting my computer up but the machine made some clicking noise, then the computer restarted itself, bringing it back to the Safe Mode screen again. I tried doing Safe Mode, but again, the computer restarted by itself. Same thing happaned doing that F8 button-thing. Well, I checked the cords and they were plugged in correctly, and I thought of restarting the whole entire thing...which was VERY stupid of me because I don`t remember where I had put the Installation CD. Well, after I had erased everything, I turned it on the computer and there was a screen that said "Diskette drive 0 seek failure" then below it said "Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the setup utility". I hit F1, then it took me to the Safe Mode screen again.

PLEASE HELP ME AS I SPENT 20 BORING MINUTES TYPING THIS FROM MY WII.

If you need to call me, call at 843-907-1176, this is my cell phone number.

PLEASE HELP...thanks if you do.

IvyX

Sorry for double-posting, but I tried to hit the "Modify" button but it wouldn`t load for me on the Wii, anyways, more info.:
The computer brand is Dell, Safe Mode doesn`t work either even doing the F8 button thing, ONLY CALL ME DURING THE EASTERN TIME ZONE HOURS OF 4:55-12:00, AS I HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL ON THE WEEKDAYS, WEEKENDS I AM FREE IF I AM NOT GOING ANYWHERE. ALSO IF YOU ARE TEXTING ME, PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME IN IT.
Again, please help...

Since its a dell..call one of there tech support people. Try resetting your BIOS to manufacture settings. Other than that, You might have a fault Hard drive. I think its best you just call Dell Tech support, and they will be able to walk you through in what do to fix your computer.

Voltimolt

when pressing F8,

try going through restore process.
try to restore to when you thought the computer was alright at that time.

But with all that noise i think i might have to go with trini and sent to go dell tech people

Vee Dub

I'm not great with computers, But, Have you tried just pressing escape?  ;D

Every time i press escape it usually works on my old crappy dinosaur boom box.

First off, what do you mean by restoring and what is the number for the dell support?

Vee Dub

Have you rang the company? Or took it into a shop?

You're really better off doing that.

No router=No internet.

That is unless you buy yourself a 3G adapter to use the Mobile Phone connection as an internet connection.

Well, I have this "cable box", this is what my mom calls it and I can ask her for Internet access, but she will find it suspicious, anyway, it is some sort of router I guess that has only 1 USB outlet/whatever that I can plug in the computer, and get Internet access, which was before my CPU "broke down". I am trying now to get access by asking people questions (Like WSB players :) ). But when I plug in this "router", no Internet access whatsoever. I have 2, one Motorola, 1 Linksys. I also have this weird USB jump/junk drive that says "Linksys" and "Cisco" on it. Tell me if I need to get like an installation disk or not, no disk I would desire. I am still trying to get some courage to ask my mom, she is a CPU "geek", she just knows a lot about CPUs, but I have to earn Internet access, in which I "stole" the "router". Please help, I WILL appericiate it!

Ohhhhhh my god...please someone help!!! I've spent 8 hours on the Internet Channel on the Wii just trying to post 2 posts...First time I exceeded the default 60 min. time limit to log in, I forgot to check the box. 2nd time, it said I already posted the same post. It showed up because I didn't like refresh the page or something. 8 HOURS OF NOTHING...That just sucks...

Anyway, I have a small  Motorola "Router" that has only 1 Port and I can attach a cord to itself and the computer, but nothing happens. What should I do other than finding the Installation disk for the "Router"???!!

The guy who spent 8 hours of nothing. :(

Hello,

From what I'm seeing, this is a problem regards to your RAM, and your VGA/Video Driver, Plus Hard-Drive Corruption.

Best thing to do from this point: Buy a new computer.

If your having serious Hard-Ware issues like this, no other choice but get a new computer. Fact is, if your Ram/VGA is corrupt 9/10 your Motherboard/Mainframe is also.

I hope I have helped you understand the problem with your computer.

Now for some tips to prevent this from further happening:

Watch the temperature on your computer, sudden changes can fracture microchips inside, causing permanent damage.

Do not over work your Computer, know your Computers limits. Over working your computer can lead to corrupt RAM Sectors, thus causing the system to not be able to read Data.

I hope enjoy these tips.

Brian Criwell

O_o Well, thanks for the info. but I think you are talking about my old computer, I found another one. All I need is Internet access and my screen resolution to 640x800 with many colors, I can do many colors but bigger screen. Yeah, my old one needs to be reprogrammed again. Thanks Brian, I played my computer too much...but from what you said is not helpful... :( But yeah I just need Internet access. Bye.

Vee Dub

Why can't you just buy a USB internet access?

Or get you're old computer back and do what Brian said.
