Alot of people ask me what kind of GFX I create, I create banners. The following will explain what Banners, Logos are, and GFX is.

Banners
A web banner or banner ad is a form of advertising on the World Wide Web delivered by an ad server. This form of online advertising entails embedding an advertisement into a web page. It is intended to attract traffic to a website by linking to the website of the advertiser. The advertisement known as a "click through". In many cases, banners are delivered by a central ad server.
When the advertiser scans their logfiles and detects that a web user has visited the advertiser's site from the content site by clicking on the banner ad, the advertiser sends the content provider some small amount of money (usually around five to ten US cents).[citation needed] This payback system is often how the content provider is able to pay for the Internet access to supply the content in the first place. Usually though, advertisers use ad networks to serve their advertisements, resulting in a revshare system and higher quality ad placement.

Banners are also used to create a personal page such as your forum account to look good or show off your Photoshop skills, This is an example of a banner.

Logos
A logo is a graphic mark or emblem commonly used by commercial enterprises, organizations and even individuals to aid and promote instant public recognition. Logos are either purely graphic (symbols/icons) or are composed of the name of the organization (a logotype or wordmark).

Logos are commonly used as display pictures, this is an example of a Logo.

GFX
So for those who are wondering what is GFX? You see it on some forums but don’t exactly know what it is!
Well GFX stands for Graphic Effect(s). GFX for example is banners, logos, userbars, signatures and all that picture things with abstract designs and others. People on forums mainly use GFX to advertise their products or services, looking cool or signing up for a GFX Team. When your on a team, people will request things from you. Its hard work. Sometimes people also still work from other GFX Owners. Why? It’s because they are unable to create some themselves. Some also want to be part of the circle and only professionals can join.
