I'm trying to upload a profile picture but i always get this error; Tried deleting all cookies but same error still..
"The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved."

Upload th image to an image hosting site then try posting by image URL.

I actually have the same problem right now, thats why i don't have a pic atm :(

Not that hard upload your picture to Tinypic.com and use the link that looks like this

and putt that in the choose picture from Url option
