Risk Giver

I'm sorry to post this, but it had just popped up in mind.
U.S.A lost many lives on 9-11-01. Japan lost more lives on 3-10-11. If you add those two dates together, you get 12-21-12. (Also the date that the Mayans had predicted the world will end.)

Holy crap, did you figure this out on your own?

Maybe if we disregard math it will happen on your date, but I'm going to let correct math save us all and go with Connor's theory.

The world is not going to end on 12/21/12. The Mayan calendar is simply restarting. They have said this many times. It does this every 5,000 years. People just make a big fuss over nothing.

Kryptonite

No one said the world was ending on that date, he was just pointing out an interesting coincidence.

But what reason is there to think of that date other than the end of the world?

Kryptonite

The Mayans 'predicted' the end of the world. It's just cool that those dates add up to that one because of all the deaths being somewhat related to the world ending.

It was never predicted. It's just like the Y2K thing, I also believe there was some thing that happened in the 70's or 80's where the planets all aligned and everyone was freaking out saying the world is going to end. But its just urban legends, no proof the world will end that day, the only reason is because the Mayan calendar ends that day, but like I said before it is just resetting itself. It's just like we make a calendar for each year, our years ends December 31 every year it does that, the Mayans just happens to reset every 5,000 years. They must have had more time on their hands. But they were also a very smart tribe, because even today they predict the planets aligning and everything of that nature.
