Could there be some npc who you talk to, for resetting stats in game?
Or maybe like there is ::Lock Defence etc, there could be ::Reset Defence?
I'm not against this as all. A lot of people ask to have specific skills reset, for whatever reason.
The command would have to be painfully obvious though, so people can't claim they did it on accident- thinking it was something else. =P
Something like ::removeallexp defence
xD
The only problem that scares me with it, is that what if someone hacks an account on WorldScape and removes all their stats. I know it is a long shot, but it can happen.
I don't think it should be a command, I believe it should be a NPC who you can talk to, and you can either reset the stat back to 1, or choose a level, or amount of xp.
Another thing, someone could reset their skill and claim that they had 135 or so in it and say they did it by accident to cheat and get fake stats. But I don't think the owners would really do that for people because of that reason.
I like the idea, but I'm against it due to the reasons given above on why not to do it.
If someone gets "hacked" (See: 'I was stupid and gave away my password') then they probably wouldn't/shouldn't expect to get their account back as-is anyway.
Also, how would talking to an NPC be more difficult than a command, Kevin? o.o
And that's why I was saying it would have to be more obvious/difficult (unable to do with accident).
That's another thing. With the NPCs, what if you click on the wrong link? So I'm more for the command.
Or at least add two confirmations to the NPC chat before doing anything. >>

Because with a command you wouldn't believe how many people would tell someone to type this and they would do it without even thinking, if there was an npc with dialogue and warning they have no reason to say they didn't mean to do it.
THAT makes more sense.
Didn't make any sense with your hacking argument. ;D

The "Hacking" thing was more of an add-on to why it shouldn't be added. I am looking at both sides. I believe it SHOULD be added. I like the comfort of knowing if I start a pure and accidentally train a stat I didn't mean to I could easily go back and remove it without any trouble.
No, no. I understand.
I just thought you were linking the latter to the former.
So I was all "..npcwontmakeitharderforaccount-stealertomessupaccount..".
But yeah. I'm for NPC with confirmation (as I said earlier).
I just generally hate talking to NPCs, I guess. xD
I'm the opposite, I don't like typing commands... Normally because I miss-type them
I think it is a good idea with the npc and command maybe we should start a poll??
If you get hacked then someone can just reset all your skills? I'm totally against this.
How about only 1 skill can be reset every 24 hours?
if it were to happen the it would have to have some rule in place.
I honestly think it shouldn't happen, if you have a skill that you leveled and you didn't. Tough.
This is not nessisary due tohe ::lock command. If someone did not want to level specified skill, thrn they should have locked it in the first place. This renders your arguements about 'accidentally' leveling a skill.
Dont get me wrong, i am all for this idea. Think there should be any issue in 'accidentally' leveling a skill.
:D
The lock command hasn't been around forever. There are quite a few people with accounts that were supposed to be pures but got messed up. =P
Thank you for your support to this suggestion :)
I never knew this would get so many replies...
Should i make a poll or something about this? Or ask forum mods or someone to add it here? O_O
Maybe you could add ::Lock {Skill} {Xp} because, if someone wanted a 40 skill but because the xp rate is so high they may end up getting 40+.

Hellz ya! I was thinking about something like that earlier..
Really good idea ;)
For ::reset (Skill), you could add a system like a bank Pin, Where an interface pops up and the first time you do it, you set a pin. Every time you want to reset a skill, you have to put that pin in. That way if you get hacked, the hacker couldn't reset any skills. Or you couldn't be scammed to do it.

I like that idea.
So basically this so far?
- Talk to an NPC
- Enter a PIN
- Two confirm options
- Skill resets

Yep, Like in Runescape you talk to that Lady to set a bank pin.. When you talk to the NPC he could have 3 options:
I would like to set a pin!
I would like to change my pin! (Must enter old pin first)
I would like to reset a skill>"Which skill would you like reset?">(skillname/abbreviation)
There could be a command "::Setpin" what you could use to set the pin..
And if you want to change it, you gotta type the pin what you have in use at the moment first..?

I also strongly support this.
And yes, Mike. That would work for changing pins. Just like passwords.
Gotta know what the current one is first or there's no point in having them. =P
I think you should have to make the PIN on forums. It just sounds like a better/safer idea to me. Not really sure why though.
Yeah thats one great idea again :)
Players should set it in the registeration and be able to change it from settings later...
But if you get hacked you have same pass on forums/in game ....?
Many people do atleast
Yeah you have to have the same password. But it would be pretty hard to get both your password AND your PIN hacked.
Yeah true, i strongly support this feature to be added...
JEREMY & RY RESPOND!

Jeremy's on vacation. 8)
And Yeah, You should change it on the forums, just to make it more safe and reliable.
What do you think guys, will this be added? O_O
30th reply...=D
I'm positive it won't be added anytime soon.

It takes some time to add though :/ Sadly..
But yeah i think it will be added..
Yeah, I'd agree with it. Hell, I could use it right now.
Jack.
It would be Good with a Npc, And Choosing a Stat to Reset, Every 24 Hours. Because with the ::Reset Def someone could Trick you into it.
While I don't think a dedicated NPC needs to be added, I do think that new players could easily be mislead on what it does.
Jack.
I would like a skill reseter, as long as it's easy to notice and straight to the point. ::)
