I'm sorry to break this to you but, no one cares. :S
You kind of are advertising, if you want, just add people on Skype or AIM to talk to them, that's how I talk to people when I can't on a server. =P

Another form of communication with your friends on Worldscape Blitz would be to use the forum message system, you can access it by clicking the 'My Messages' tab near the top of the page.
