Yes, you would need to somehow edit the actual 3D Models, and they are saved in Jagex's own format, so no program can edit them yet. Silab is working on a Model Editor, but right now it is no where near complete. :P
So we probably won't be adding any custom items anytime soon! :(

well ive seen pplo make things ive seen some 1 makin a halo sword to a server and it works but i think u have to pay for that prgram
