Practice makes perfect, I just keep playing with all the photoshop tools to find new things.

Not bad. Overall I'd rate about a 7 - 7.5 on all of your work.

I just figured out some new things in photoshop, I can remake youre banner if you want.

Play around with the layer styles such as overlay, dissolve, soft light, etc. You can also use a large soft brush for the eraser with the hardness all the way down to help lighten the edges of your render. Sometimes renders can be blended simply by turning down their opacity. There are also many other techniques.

The best thing to do, however, is to always choose a render with colors that match the background. Then it's much easier.
