Making this post because I'm not seeing many people online as there once was when classic got relaunched.
Ryan has devoted himself to bringing what the players want...
Just wondering why everyone comes for a bit, then leaves again.
I was used to seeing people make video to promote WorldScape.
I even heard of people telling their myspace friends back in the old days of WorldScape.
Just saying if we could all come together and make a team effort it would be awesome!
Would love to see loads of epicness.

It's not really anyone's fault that there's no new players. Sure people need to vote more but Worldscape was in a bad spot not long ago and it's getting back up.
Continue to vote and we'll get there.

It's in-fact a team effort.
That is how it got the way it was before.
People telling everyone else.
I'm only trying to point out to people that like to rant over no players.
And of nothing to do.
It gives them something to do is to promote WorldScape.

Yes I do agree that it is a team effort and people do need to get the word out there but we can't start pointing fingers and starting fights between us. We need to keep the players we have as well as gain players.

Maybe talk to Ryan about a special event everyone can join for a epic team effort to get the ball on the role.
Only perk is to get more people.
Maybe a new promo video hosted by Ryan himself.

i was eating dinner, and the last time someone tried to make a promo video, they were told by the advertizing group that they were not allowed to do so. If you want a video, talk to mia because she will tell you if you are allowed to advertize or not.
You don't need to ask to make a video? The more advertisement we have out there the better it is for all of us on WorldScape. Try to get people involved, if you're going to make a video. Also a commentary video would be +100 8)

Update your Facebook statuses with Worldscape's forums and ask people to sign up. Not that hard! :) <3

What I think we should do
Start a thread where people upload their own videos of them doing various things around Worldscape (Pking, skilling ect.). Once there are enough videos posted have one of our more talented video editors mix it in to one badass advert. Another thought is to start the same thread and still have people upload their videos. Then make a competition out of it, like whoever makes the best video gets a prize or a custom title or something.
I agree but i think we need to add the idea someone had on some other forum about the getting a reward for voting because right now its not like a big deal to vote because you don't get anything so other private servers are bigger because they get rewards for voting so everyone vote 1 per day and if we did that we would slowly get back up onto the top and make the new old days of worldscpae!

anyways, i think ryan said before that he won't give prizes for advertising because it's gay, but he pretty much should cause we are seriously down in the leader board, but i actually noticed that a couple new players join in daily, so if u saw a new player, just explain to him what's going on, give him some free items to start with, and i guarantee that they will stick around

The problem is Moparscape doesn't have a reporting API to report back to the server the fact that a specific IP has voted, at least as far as i can tell. Basically Moparscape would need the ability to type a username in when voting and report this back to the server with an IP, and then Ryan would need to code an API to take advantage of this on the server.

I never said it would be easy, but its just an example on how to get players back :9 i have seen other servers with this solution.

Yes other servers have it but they aren't to the standard it should probably be. Like if you used a proxy you could get past it easily.

Currently I am hosting an in game event for pking, which will have several staff members there as well as a large prize pool, and will be have a full length video with it. Consider joining this event for the community.
I would be more then happy to do some kind of a promo video! We would just need to make it at a time that everyone could make it at; and unfortunately I have a really busy schedule most of the time. :-[
