WORLDSCAPE IS NEVER SHUTTING DOWN!
This was just to clarify all rumors; this is not a secret, and we are not getting rid of WorldScape.

Welcome to RuneRebels! We are the most powerful, stable, and strongest RS Remake! We provide many features and strive for the best for our players.

  • Complete/perfect combat system coded from scratch.
Functioning attack styles with proper bonuses set according to what your bonuses are on your character.
Functioning special attacks with full sounds/gfx for each weapon.
Full Magic/Ranged/Melee following if a player runs away(Or click mid run doesn't affect anything).
  • Prayer system, done exactly like RS.
Complete bone burying with proper xp.
90% of the prayers working excuse the Smite/Redemption(Can and will be easily added).
Prayer bonus with items such as monk robes work properly.
  • NPC vs NPC combat - 100%.
Npc's can fight and kill another NPC. The items they drop will remain on the floor for 1 minute before other players can see them.
Npc's can use Range/Mage/Mele on their opponents.
  • Player vs NPC combat - 100%.
Npc's fight exactly as if you were on RuneScape, with fully functioning sounds/animations.
Npc's currently load correct drops as if you were playing RuneScape.
  • 100% following exactly like RuneScape. (with the following dance!)
Player following is 100% exact to RuneScape(Follow dance works perfectly)
  • Fully clipped player following & path finding loaded straight from the 377 cache.
Player pathfinding is done and extracted from the 377 cache, so all maps(even pest control) are 100% clipped.
  • Fully clipped NPC following & path finding loaded straight from the 377 cache.
NPC's cannot walk through any object even object such as tree's and is NOT running from a .bin file.
  • Over 2,000 globally spawned NPCs, all loaded from a MySQL database instead of a text file, enabling easy collaboration on editing.
RuneRebels currently is loading over 2,000 globally spawned NPC's that are in their correct spots. 90% are correctly animated.
  • NPC drops and shops programmed exactly like RuneScape  in 2006.
We currently have 75+ shops that match RuneScape's shops back in 2006.
  • Full follower and pet system.
You can set down and pick up pets and have them as followers(Completely clipped).
If they lose you they will teleport to you.
  • All the content runs on top of the most stable, elegant RuneScape server on the planet.
Game engine coded 100% by Ry60003333 of the RSPS community.

Yeah we are still working on both RuneRebels and WorldScape; they actually share the same code! Lots of things from RuneRebels have made their way into WorldScape already such as Npc Clipping, Npc Sounds, working doors, and much more! 8)

I don't   understand why people are annoyed. You can't even play it, why would they tell you to go on it. Now   we're going back to blitz with the "When is it released".

Sorry to burst your bubble but, I heard it's Worldscape Classic.   I'm worried everyone will leave to that now and forget about WS (this server).

I probably agree with you on that one Luke but we didn't really take into consideration the rumours that would be spread and the assumptions people would make. This is definitely a lesson well learnt for all of us.  :)

Well Kevin, The Owner Might Be An ****** But That Doesn't Really Say That The Server Sucks You Know, It Might Be Good, Well Most Of The RSPS Look Alike Anyways, So Having 2 Servers That Re-make 2006 Runescape Isn't Really New To Me.

People are doing it for the love of the game. We have a lot of developers right now. We recently picked up another one, and there is still a bunch of people who want to help as-well. We should hopefully be launching open beta tomorrow. We'll see how things go though.

Actually I've Seen A Bunch Of Private Servers That Run Like 2 Different Servers At A Time, Maybe 3, It's Not Neccesairly For Worldscape To Die If RuneRebels Existed :/

You guys are right, people are going to throw WorldScape to the sewers. And I don't think you realize how difficult it will be to handle two servers at once. You're going to have to trash one in the end. Too much moderation to keep on top of.

And Ryan, I know you were at prom that one weekend. I'm talking about like the past year, where almost no Owners would reply to a thing.

And I'm still skeptical of this. You say they share the same code, how do we know it won't be 90% copied and pasted code from Blitz?

Hate to be a downer when everyone's hyped up though.

Because we've been doing NOTHING but developing it. Once we finish developing we are set and we'll have a lot more time to do things.

We're already dieing, making a new server will destroy worldscape, which in the end, will mean Ryan will take it down.  Max daily right now is what? 3 players?

Ever tried to manage two massive games at once? I've tried. Didn't work out so well.
Also considering all the players are leaving one to go to RuneRebels, Ry will see it this way: with like 1 active player on WorldScape, there's no need to run two servers just for one person.

Because there is no copying and pasting; like you know how the programs you run on your computer run on an operating system? All the content for both WorldScape and RuneRebels run on top of the Blitz Engine that I developed; we have added tons of new things and tons of fixes to the engine for RuneRebels, and WorldScape automatically gets these benefits!

And I don't plan on ever shutting down WorldScape, it was my first server ever and I don't want to shut it down. All we need is more advertising and some way to fix the economy, and were good! 8)

Also, we just put the RuneRebels site on a very fast web host, and I plan on doing the same thing for the WorldScape site to make it blazing fast. ;)

Because there is no copying and pasting; like you know how the programs you run on your computer run on an operating system? Ryan, you have to close one game sooner or later. There is almost no players online in Worldscape at the moment.
I've looked at the people online for the last few days, the max that I've seen on is 3 players. Kinda pathetic.
I've quit in-game altogether because no one is on and it honestly seems like there is no reason to play.

Get your act together, Then you may get your players back. For the time being, it's a little pathetic.

@Ryan - Let's say every single player quits WorldScape tomorrow, and you all of the sudden get 100s of active player on RubeRebels? My guess is you'd say f*ck WS at that point. I would. Honestly that's how it feels now, so little players and a shitty economy that needs to be changed. I hate to insult your game like that straight to you, but you and I both know it's the truth.

@Mia - I would've accepted the offer to be an advertiser but I'm not playing until the economy's fixed. ;)

@Rory - I agree.

This was to clear up all of the assumptions and accusations people had made. It's not advertising the server as such, but to give an explanation to those who needed one.  :)

i dont even know what was in 2006 different
and its possible some people just like ws more than 2006 game
because ws is the very different then much other server.

No it's 2.5x faster. At the moment it's 10x faster, I think, but that's only for Beta.

Though wouldn't it be more time and content-efficient to simply work on one? Having to cater to two games regardless of if they are the same codebase isn't what I'd call efficient. At least if you think like me.

Not really because not supporting one game would literally mean zero changes to my programming routine. :P

Its like writing an application in Java, it will run on Mac, Windows, and Linux unless you do things to specifically break support for a platform. ;)

Aye that's true. Unless some update for java breaks it - Like when one of the J7 updates broke the support for MC FTB on mac >_>
