Videos / Touhou.
August 29, 2010, 02:41:49 PM
I'm sure you guys have seen either in my 'Personal Text', Location or signature (many times), me mentioning something called Touhou.
Touhou is literally a "Bullet-hell, side-scrolling shoot'em up game". Of course there are plenty of fan-made things that could resemble anime (The remixed song's flash videos, for example), but really it's just a series of games.

Arguably some of the hardest games in the world, while the levels range from Easy to Lunatic, "Easy" still tends to be very hard. I'll post a video of a random Lunatic gameplay video I find. *Looks one up*

This one was saved as a replay and played in "Boss mode", so at the start (Whenever you aren't fighting the boss) it's sped up. But you're basically fighting the boss the whole time after the first 40 seconds, so.
Also, if you don't watch the entire video, you aren't allowed to say it isn't the hardest game in the world.

Yes, I do play this often, but I'll admit I never passed 4:25. Your lives and spellcards(Big explosions that destroy bullets) are nullified, and you can't shoot. All you can do is hopelessly try to survive until it's over. I got maybe 1/5 through that part. XD

Any questions, I'll be glad to answer.

Runes / Buying runes.
August 21, 2010, 05:52:40 PM
With the new release of Blitz, a lot of things are different and new. One of them being, I NEED RUNES. Yaayyy.

I'll buy: Chaos runes, Fire Earth and Water runes, Mind runes, and Law runes. I'll change the price depending on how many you offer, but I'm thinking Laws will be the most valuable. =]

First topic that won't be locked lol.. Yay..

Clans Discussion / Blitz Legends - Clan Discussion
August 20, 2010, 08:04:03 PM
I had to make this just so the recruitment topic wouldn't be spammed. If you have any questions, comments, or just want to talk about this clan, post here. Please do not post on the recruitment topic.

Here I'll answer questions you may have about the clan, and maybe make small announcements here and there.

Clans Recruitment / Blitz Legends
August 20, 2010, 05:40:01 PM
Making a clan page so suddenly is going to be tough. Please be patient, the full version of the clan page likely won't be done until Blitz has been out for a few hours already.

Blitz Legends is a lot different than your average clan, besides the fact that it's for Blitz.

Clan's Purpose: The whole purpose of this clan is to help start, maintain, fix and possibly control the economy. Our clan will aim to get items into the economy in general. Items in stock will of course go to clan members first, but mainly to the players that obviously deserve them.
For example: A level 48 is killing NPCs around Varrock with an iron dagger, steel platebody, iron platelegs and leather gloves. When we find someone obviously active and/or dedicated to Blitz like this, we give/sell them any items we have that they need. In this case I'd give them armor and a weapon to match their levels.

Clan Owner and Co-Owners: The owners of Blitz Legends obviously have plenty of experience no-lifing playing Blitz already, which explains how they could be accepted before Blitz is even released. Those players would be: Me, (Coleshot1), the Owner; X, (Alex), a Co-Owner; and Rivin X, also a Co-Owner.
Co-owners have as much say in what happens as I do, but they can't edit the clan page themselves.   ::)

Clan Ranks: The ranks for the clan are still being thought of... 'debated'. However, it's likely they'll be somewhat custom, based on what kind of player you are in the game. An example would be, for Rivin X;
Rivin X: Co-Owner; Combat; Items, Generally Experienced.

How to join the clan: Our clan does not accept applications. If we find someone who is active, has decent levels, or is just extremely willing to join our clan, they will be considered. Similar to becoming a Moderator, you shouldn't try to join for any *perks there may or may not be. If you join, you will end up giving away some items sooner or later. Plus, clan members are more susceptible to beggars. Oh well.

* Perks may include but are not limited to: Free items, first access to extra items, general richness, being worshiped(for ca$h-money), and epicness.

Members:
Coleshot1: Owner, Combat, Skills, Items, Highly Experienced.

X: Co-Owner, Skills, Highly Experienced.

Rivin X: Co-Owner, Combat Expert, Items, Generally Experienced.

Con1887: Combat, Skills, Items, Generally Experienced.

Chaoslancex: Combat, Skills, Items, Highly Experienced.

Vio Vex: Combat, Skills, Items, Highly Experienced.

Berserker: Combat, Generally Experienced.

Tinyyoshi: Skills, Items, Fishing Expert.

Legend:
Combat: Anyone with the combat rank usually specializes in, or has high levels in, a mixture or combo of their Attack, Defence, Strength, Hitpoints, Prayer, Ranged or Magic levels.
Skills: Anyone with the skills rank specializes in, or has high levels in, any skill other than stated above. Usually isn't combined with the combat rank, as that would lead the the next two ranks.
Generally Experienced: This rank means the player has high levels in at least 80% of the total trainable skills.
Highly Experienced: This rank means the player has high levels in 95% of the total trainable skills, easily ranking in the top 10 of every skill.
Co-/Owner: The highest rank in the clan, these players easily topped the Beta's highscore boards.
Items: Any player ranked with Items knows how to get items such as Rune, Dragon, and the Etc. These players are also the ones that will be, for the most part, handing out or selling items to players who deserve them.
Newbie: Any player ranked with Newbie is usually a new recruit, often still learning how to, or training to get, higher ranks like Items.

Clan Allies: Deathzone.

This clan has absolutely nothing to do with any clan made in/for Classic. I don't suggest joining if you're part of another Classic clan too quickly, as I hear some clans such as Deathzone will be making duplicate Blitz-clans. I will allow members to be in another clan for PKing and etc., but your leader may say otherwise.

There isn't any need to post on this topic as of now. If you want to talk about the clan or have questions, go to the discussion page at...

Stories / My laptop.
August 20, 2010, 03:07:52 AM
My laptop, is the worst I've ever seen. There have been many, many problems, the disk space is incredibly low(Even if it was empty), and random problems occur out of nowhere. I've learned more about computers and technology than half the people on these forums just trying to keep it running.

After Worldscape stopped working recently(Java heap space error), and following Brian's guide on how to enable more space, freeing some space because it wouldn't even let me, I found out if you disabled a certain hibernating option it would automatically free up a lot of space. In my case, 1GB.(That's a lot)
After I set it to system managed size, I tried getting on WS on the low-detail client. Again, Java Heap Size error. Great.
His guide said it was supposed to ask for a restart, mine didn't. So after I posted what had happened, I went to restart my laptop, thinking it might need to and just not have told me.

I was then going to restart my laptop, but saw there were updates to be installed, so did shut down instead. 11 updates, took about 43 minutes to install all of them. (Last time 27 updates took at least 74 minutes). So then after that, I turned my laptop back on and logged in to the only profile on my laptop, and maybe 10 seconds later I get the "Low disk space" message I used to get oh-so-often. That surprised me, considering I'd just had the abnormally-large amount of 1.5GB. I opened My Computer and saw about 154MB of space.
After a bunch of checking every folder in Windows, and Program files Windows and Documents & Setting's properties, I couldn't find what was taking all the space. Maybe 10 minutes later the space had gone back up to 556MB.(591 Current)

I still can't find what's taking up that space. Whatever...
By the way, my laptop has a total of 7.11GB(whateverthewordis) of space, with 300-600MB being my average free space. I've never seen it above 2.1GB. It was just 1.5GB for a blissful 4 minutes.

So, I went from not being able to play Worldscape in Low detail, to getting about 700MB above-average space open, to losing even more than I had in the first place, AFTER disabling *hybernating(Which freed up about 1GB), to not being able to play Worldscape in Low detail, or anything for that matter.

*Speaking of which, I no longer have enough space to re-enable.

So, that's about 6% of the story of problems I've had with my laptop. You just have to love it...

By the way, I'm not putting this in Tech Support. I guess Brian or some expert could try to help, but really, my laptop is beyond repair. And given the fact that (it's probably going to break again) it's free space is 6 times less than the below-average Ipod(Total space is about half), it isn't even worth repairing.
