It's the version of the SMF we're using. It's happening to everyone so don't be worried.
You can use a Image upload site to post pictures on the forums, if you want. It does take a little more time though.

as Jake has said try using www.tinypic.com (http://www.tinypic.com) as they will do as many for you, its free registration aswell.
and to add pics to a topic do the image tags... [im g]URL HERE, without the spaces between the m and g[/im g]
You can also use www.imageshack.us. It's really good and you can upload multiple photos at once, and fast.
