Title: SMF Theme
Post by: Voltimolt on December 19, 2012, 05:18:09 AM
As some of you may know that I've been designing a theme for this forum and I'm near completion of the design.

I just need some suggestions from the community on what else I should do.

The header picture actually moves sideways.

here's the zip archive, I believe you can just install it through manage themes straight away.

I second this, IMO the buttons look better how they are on this theme.

The text and globe are a separate picture from the header (Literally, not layers, its 2 different pictures).

If you have me on skype, you can talk some changes you want while I design it live. (Basically tell me what to do, I do, you refresh the page and you'll see it.)

I prefer that one. Although the "show unread posts since last visit" and all that are pretty hard to see.

I made some adjustments to the design to make that section more easy to read. Further adjustments is required.

I also added a custom tab (the play tab with drop down menu with further navigation)

Not a big fan on the buttons or the dotted line around the square..

That's forum-sided, not theme-sided (as mine is).

I did, when you press play instead of one of the drop menu options, you get taken to the web client straight away.

one other thing that i dont like is where it says like your messages and unread post since last visit    replies to your post on yours its like hard to read due to the back round image

I really like the changes you made from the original overhaul, solid work, though the marquee might make people dizzy, i like the logo, though it is kind of MSpainty, would be better to make it a bit feathered on the lines, don't you think?

The "marquee" (Did not use the marquee tag in the code. it's all CSS and jQuery.) is not really that fast to make people dizzy.
I'm working on a better logo.
