Just for show, she really does not care. She had a fun time making that music video with her friend and she made a ton of money off of it. She's does not care about the feedback at all.

You really shouldn't care about little things like that.
If they ask, you could have just explained that you were interested in the music, not the actual song. =P
And it's not like people haven't listened to this song and/or many parodies/remixes.
