You and kevin a best friends in real life, it's annoying when you insult me/people with him. Anyway.

Why can't you just have a chill even. Bro, we couldn't even stand near others to watch. Like honestly do you have OCD? I'm just asking.

Next time maybe people with a clue of pking should hold it, Kyle, Oscar, Me, or anyone else.

Number one, I don't insult anyone unfairly.
Number two, I follow the same rules as everyone else.
Number three, you guys had years to hold an event like this before i did, and didn't.
Number four, you are banned from all events in the future I post. Have a great time not participating.

Also i would appreciate it if a mod locked this topic since the event is over and there is no reason to keep it open. :)

Rants / People who don't understand the combat system
January 03, 2013, 08:19:25 PM
OK, so for some reason people seem to think that wearing armor is different from not wearing armor, this is false unless the armor provides a strength bonus. The combat system ignores defense bonuses on armors, and only uses strength, which helps to calculate max hit. So Attack bonuses, Defense bonuses, all don't matter, which is why it is so easy to use mage even in full armor.

Another part of the combat system people don't seem to understand currently is the fact that while training strength, your max hit is drastically reduced.

Very annoying to try to explain this sometimes.

This wasn't acurate. We need to do a new one, with no screw arounds like before. People line up and fight 1 after other. People with most kills wins. I left half way though.

This was very accurate, regardless of what you say, you just weren't paying attention and got disqualified from two of your rounds for not being there at the time of your match starting. Many people didn't show up, either due to bad timing, or just not getting on. We had 3 admins there to control the event, and 3 mods, and everyone was pretty cooperative 90% of the time, including the spectators. As we will be holding future PKing events, be warned that if you continue to insult how this event was run, and the time me, all the moderators and admins put in, and all the items people donated, you will be banned from any all future events that i create.

Well the next one that happens, I will poll a time first, as i do plan to do this event again, because a lot of people had some real fun with it, even though only 4 people participated.

Create a comic strip of worldscape! Take pictures in game, or draw them out(if you're talented enough), modify them with visual effects if you want, put them together to make a comic!

These comics can be funny, serious, or anything you want them to be(that follows the rules).
The restriction is one image, with 10 images inside of it preferably vertical instead of horizontal.
Comics will be judged depending on the judge!

These comics will be judged by people who are moderators and sign up to be judges.
Depending on the number of entries, judges will be able to vote on more than one comic:

1-5 (1 vote)
6-10(2 votes)
>10(3 votes)

Prizes currently are as follows:
5 Genie lamps, 1000 mithril seeds, 1000 magic logs, 1000 uncooked sharks, 500 ourg bones, 1000 pure ess

Entries submitted:

People banned from this event:
Jack

If you are a moderator or admin, contact me or post here to sign up as a judge (judges can't post entries)

All tasks would work its just a matter of finding the NPC.

This is mostly true, but not completely, when they originally released slayer there was a lot more problems with things than there is now. All individual monsters WILL work if you can find them, i've tested through a very large amount of the monsters, and some of them didn't spawn when i tested through them(weeks ago). The only thing that MAY not work are groups (things like elves, although elves do work, because that was one of the groups i checked out upon opening). If a monster does not spawn where it should or does not exist, or you do not get slayer exp from a group, you should post it in the topic so it can go on the fix list for slayer.

General (OT) / Re: buying a new computer
December 24, 2012, 10:57:09 PM
I am a technician with ~4 years of retail PC repair/sales and 1 year of corporate hardware repair/upgrades/software/servers etc, I haven't used a mac in pretty close to 8 years now, but i'll tell you straight up they are much better to go with if you want something with a nice life span and little hassle. As for which mac, couldn't tell you, Ryan probably could suggest something nice though.

A hackintosh would probably work, but if you don't have a lot of experience with dealing with hardware/software/drivers, you might want to shy away from that, though it would sure be cheaper.

Linux, particularly ubuntu is relatively nice for environments where you are trying to reduce costs on licensing on both office and windows products, on systems with far lower specifications than most current operating systems use that are not linux.

Also if you DO build your own computer and look inside the US, i would suggest shopping for parts online at major outlets such as newegg and tigerdirect, even amazon might be OK, and currently i would not use an AMD processor, stick with intel if you're building for yourself, an i3 on a 1155 socket if you're going cheap, and an i7 on a 2011 socket if you're splurging a bit, like i did recently.
