Music / Nathan & Company
August 07, 2013, 01:38:08 AM
Basically I got really bored when I was in high school and formed an a capella group named Nathan&Company (not my choice trust me, I hated the name). So this is one of our best songs that we preformed at our last choir concert. And yes, I arranged this from scratch on a program called notepad finale

If you are wondering which one i am, im the second one from the right that is the only enthusiastic one on stage lol. Anyways, I was the beatboxer to this group so you can hear me doing that. These were all high schoolers at the time.

This is a Jordan Sparks cover of "Battlefield"

Idk why the youtube thing wont work for me, so its just a hyperlink now :/

What do yall think about it?

Suggestions / Voting
August 06, 2013, 08:58:45 PM
so this idea is a little bit farfetched. Worldscape has always had problems with getting people to vote because we dont want to further ruin our economy by giving people stuff for voting, but what if we made it that every time we voted we got a blue disk? A blue disk would be 1/20 of a red disk, which is already 1/10 of a shard. So a blue disk would be 1/200 of a shard. Basically it might motivate players to vote, and it would take 200 votes from one player to be equivalent to $1. I think it would ultimately be bad for the economy, but it would be in such a small dosage that no one would ever notice. Plus i think anyone who votes 200 times deserves $1 worth of stuff lol.

Compliments / Recent activity
August 05, 2013, 03:04:46 PM
Lately I have seen a lot of mod/admin activity on ws, and I think that is very important to keep this community growing and to maintain its players. I just wanted to say that I am fairly impressed and I can't wait to see great things come from this staff!

Suggestions / slayer suggestion options
August 04, 2013, 08:46:02 PM
So I know that the staff want to keep slayer as a diverse skill still where you can have options to kill different monsters, but do you think you could narrow down a few of them and make shades appear more often? If not that, what about making the tasks be in range of 500-1000 instead of like 50-120. Thoughts, ideas?

Suggestions / MONEY IS WORTH SOMETHING NOW!!!!$$$$$$$
August 01, 2013, 10:39:57 AM
so basically, ws has always had a bad economy, mainly because of dupers, but I have a way to make money worth something now.

step 1 - add a shop in lumby that only buys skilling items (i.e. logs, rune ess, ores, etc).

step 2 - remove the ability to sell items to any shop ingame for money

step 3 - remove all money in game

step 4 - let people gain resources that have not been duped and sell to the shop = money

this completely works around the idea of an economy reset, and it gives some incentive to skill! And since ores are harder to mine than rune ess, you would need to make their price levels for when you sell them to the shop according to time taken to gain.

thank you very much, have at it everyone. Ideas?

General (OT) / College and or Area you live in
July 25, 2013, 02:54:32 PM
I know that all over the internet people tell you not to give out your personal information, and if you feel like you shouldn't, you are not obligated to. This is just something to see how small the world actually is in the coincidence that someone lives near you!

anyways I'll start off. Post your country, state (or providence), city, and what college you are attending (if you attend one).

San Antonio

I am not good with sentimental stuff, so i will keep it simple. When runescape fell apart, We all turned to worldscape. now that runescape is back, some have left worldscape. do not be mistaken, worldscape played a special role in most of our lives. it built friendships that will never be forgotten. it built relationships that could never be broken. I can honestly say that worldscape was a special time period in my childhood and i commend the admin and mods for making it so. At last, I say goodbye. I will be here on the forums, but i can say truly now that i probably will never come ingame again. If you want to reach me, my skype is "teemoks" if you add me please tell me your worldscape username in the friend request. thank you.

with tears of joy from experiences gained,
                                                             love Nate.

Bug Reports / zombie glitch??

for some reason, there were random zombies that were just standing all around that you couldn't attack and they wouldn't attack you.

Suggestions / range buff
December 15, 2012, 05:33:24 PM
Just from playing the game for 3 almost 4 years, melee has been just about the only viable pking skill. I feel that no one gets 135 range because it is basically pointless. Range is underpowered and needs to be stronger. whether it is made strong through increased bonuses, or making magic shortbow the only spec weapon, i don't care, but right now it is never used seriously.

Suggestions / quests?
December 11, 2012, 06:22:53 PM
i think it would be really cool if there were some hard quests (if not only one) that would require some kind of untradable requirements to finish like having a certain level in all your skills and to have and a certain amount of tokens from each minigame. The reward would be one of the anger weapons and the ability to wield them. (we would have to remove all of them from game if this happened) they would have pretty good stats that exceeded a whip so that they were something that people would strive to obtain. and this would increase pking because people would pk in hopes of looting a wealthy item.

idk, just a thought.

Bug Reports / my 2 bugs
December 10, 2012, 07:51:33 PM
1) Telekinetic grab deletes items  :o . Instead of picking them up, the item just disappears from the ground and is then nowhere to be seen.

2) Agility and Fletching skills are able to be leveled by using xp lamps (and people have levels in them which is affecting the highscores :P)

Suggestions / new currency?
December 03, 2012, 11:18:38 PM
the problem about economy is that everything is a barter system. Theres nothing wrong with that, its just that it can often be difficult to come to common ground on item worth. My idea is that we add some kind of token thats not already in Worldscape, and have that as money. That way our new currency can't be gained so easily by just selling your 1b dharocks platebodies to ::theshop. This currency can be distributed by admins to all people who are known to be different people (no second accounts). We stop distributing tokens after a certain amount of time so that there isn't too much money in the game.

boom, currency, fixed economy (per say), happy community  ;D

this used to work but it doesn't now, and its a tiny inconvenience to have to go into the forums to find the xp for 100-135.

Suggestions / Kit battle royal
December 01, 2012, 05:38:39 AM
Anyone hate training? well Here's my idea to make skilling fun and rewarding!

so the battlegrounds for this minigame would be (for different maps) the city limits of the major cities (varrock, fally, lumbridge, ardougn... ardingo.... ardogadobla... or whatever that is....). We could have it blocked off where there are not walls like it is in zombie. each match you would start with nothing except for what your Kit would yield (will be explained later).

each map would have random things around the map such as rocks for mining to make armor and weapons (for training mining obviously ;D). alters to craft runes, fishing spots (fountains), furnace and anvil, trees to cut, and more stuff once other skills are released.

Before you jump into the game, you wait in a 30-60 second lobby where you will choose your Kit for the following game. Kits would basically be items you started out with at the beginning of the match. (i.e. ::kitminer would start you with the highest possible pick you could use based on your mining level. you will also start with a dwarven stout).

the whole point of the game is to gain large amounts of Kit points which are obtained by skilling, killing others, and securing statues (capture the flag basically, you stand in it for a certain time period and it is claimed by you, giving you a steady rate of kit points over time. can be stolen by others who stand in it).

Now, everyone would obviously find a certain way that would get you more points than the others, but here's the catch. If you die, you lose half your points. People would never skill and only pk in this if pking was that strong, but if you kill someone in this game, you get half of their kit points. The catch to that, is that you are unable to heal for a certain time period, making it easy for others to kill you.

anyways, that it my idea. tell me if you like it!  ;D
