First things first,
Some players in Queensland, Australia has a Cyclone Yasi happening, this means everyone is being evacuated and everyone having no access to their electronics (except by battery). And some Australians players are kind enough to not go on to see whats happening to the cyclone cause i think its coming down to my area too, based on my views of what the cyclone is doing right now.
And another thing.
One of the worldscape player moderator, Dug, is living in a Egypt right now.
Egypt is undergoing a riot war trying to get its government down. Its pretty big.
So the internet of every ISP in Egypt has turn its server's offline and making it currently unavailable to Egypt users, like Dug.
Thats why we don't see him Active around this week and soon next week.
The Midwest in the USA is under blizzard conditions right now. I myself had no Internet for several hours last night and probably this morning. I'd bet that other players have this too. People like Ryan might have it as well.
Dug's had his internet back up for awhile now. He plays a lot still.

That is sad shit going on down there.
shit happens. All I have to say about that.
Fortunately the internet has been back up for 14 hours and more,
Thanks Andy for making people aware :) stay safe man.
And yes things are happening around the world that we don't like at all :'(.
All these Natural Disasters that are happening everywhere, I think something is going to happen in 2012!
Anyway, I also feel sorry for Dug and other Eqypt people.
Just look at that it's a bit blurry but it has a better view.

That's a bad attitude.

That's probably one of the dumbest things I've read on here. It's not dumber than some of my shit, but still..
How is that a bad attitude? It's definitely better to try to just move on than to sit and cry about it for <exaggeration>the rest of your life.</exaggeration>
These are major issues, not your dog getting hit by a car (which would also be quite heartbreaking, mind you).
Yes, shit happens. And people are effected by it.
Oh. my. god. Some people have emotions? Ridiculous!
Plus, I don't see much "crying" on this thread. I see people bringing forth facts about what's going on.
I wasn't really referring to this thread.. I'm just stating my opinion, which matters just as much as everyone else's opinion on here.
Quote from some famous guy.. I forget his name..
Quote
I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
Well maybe those weren't his exact words.. But then again idk what that really has to do with what we're talking about.
Basically, I'm sorry if you don't like my opinions. But I respect yours, so you should respect mine as well, even if you don't agree with it, because I don't agree with yours.
You're allowed to have your opinions.
I never said you couldn't post here or that you should go away for being so negative. ::)
But if I disagree, I will say so and I will explain myself. As disagreeing without explaining is just asinine.
Disagree often brings compromise and/or understanding of another persons point of view.
I've posted about this before somewhere in the rants thread, I believe.
It's healthy.
Anyhow, back on topic. =P
The weather is terrible in the US blizzards, and rain, which leads to ice. Great isn't it? But obviously not as bad as what's going on in Egypt best of luck, and stay safe!
Kinda hard to stay safe with violent riots going on.
I KNOW WHO YOU ARE! You're Travis!
I think that we should express our opinions, but not our feelings. If your opinion is wrong then please do not share it though.
Nah c'mon now Nick Nitti, I'm not Travis. C'mon I thought you were smarter than that!
I am smarter than that. That's why your tactic will not work!
Believe what you want lol. I'm not Travis though.
I actually have the ability to read your tone and I can tell.. When did Jazmin say "penis." and why did I have to miss it?
It was like a month or so ago. And really... why would they block that word? -.-
I don't know. Why do they block cunt?

Voltaire, just so you know. Excellent quote. And to Nick, he's not Travis. Trust me.
Hey, so.
I love you all and all that good shit, but let's get back on topic.
Jack, it's a four letter word. It could be one of two hundred words that are dirty... Is it Mark?
Jazmin is right; stay on topic. I have nothing of importance to add to this post... OH! Wait, no...
Trololol, you sounded like you were a user of worldscape. sorry but its my opinion and you have to respect that.
@on-topic: so yeah like over a 3rd of queenslands houses are destroyed. they suffered thru floods like a week ago.

Violence is everywhere, and people usually try to avoid it by "staying safe."

Then everyone's opinion would be wrong, because anyone can disagree with your statement...that's my opinion. :-X
Everyone's opinion is wrong in at least one person's eyes.
Egypt can't die..
Egypt will become stronger than before..And i hope this violence is over..and me as an egyptian who lives in alex. feels safe thanks to god and thanks for the people who stayed down the street in the coldness and protect their country.
Wanna know my opinion? I think that Mubarak should resign his duties as a president. The people of the country should choose their own president, that's GOOD for the country. A president should share his choices with the people and see if they accept it, if not the idea should be removed.
Stay saaaafe dug and Andy!
Good luck to all you Egyptians out there. I hope you get what you want.

I have to give them credit for that Mashallah, when the Police were pulled back by force by one of the government officials yes one from the "old cabinet" that mubarack sacked..
I'm not sure about this but did you know that a whole mall in Alexandria was ransacked\burned\destroyed Also here in Cairo Banks\Supermarkets and "BURGER KING" was ransacked because people couldn't eat :(.
The people on the streets where they lived didn't have a chance but to protect there homes and the ones they love since 1000 prisoner's escaped 3 main prison's and people see this as an opportunity to loot wealthy people.
There have been rumors that the groups that spread through Facebook and twitter were removed by the Egyptian government and some of the account's were changed, you might think it's not possible.
This following video gives you a visual insight to how living in Egypt is like for most people.
Well...IDC, I just wanna peace anyway i hope you don't live beside freedom square..Stay safe. :)
In the first video, what does the sing say at 1:05?
On the bottom half it starts out with an exclamation point and two backwards question marks.
yeah things werent rlly goin so good in egypt since 25/1 it went all chaos but its all pretty good now

You mean sign :P Well, it says: Top - "10 million are sick with a virus why?" Bottom - "Our streets are full of soldiers why?"
And nick that's how Arabic is written from right to left.
Another point to note these people were living in tahrir sqaure also known as "Liberation Square" they felt safer there then at there homes so one of them say on state television and also the army supports the people but they remain loyal to Mubarack since he was a military officer...
Wow! Hope you all stay safe in Egypt.. :-\ It doesn't look good..
I live in the U.S so all I have to worry about is blizzards.
Collin... He stepped down like two weeks ago...

Well, This topic seemed 'fresh' still. Also I don't live in Egypt so i don't really pay attention to the EGYPT news.. :-X
It wasn't only on local t.v, it was on cnn, bbc, fance24 and euronews :P,
But Libya is experiencing one of the worst bloodshed in probably most of north africa ;(.
