General (WS) / Is this all legal?
October 11, 2010, 05:34:29 PM
Some of you may remember me, but probably not. I was an avid classic player for a while, made my 2.1bil, and then quit.   Today, I got curious and decided to pop in to see what was up, and I see that blitz is finally here.  (I am upset that we couldn't keep classic, too, but I won't get into that, since it seems to be a taboo subject.)

Anyhoo, I download blitz to check it out, and I was blown away at how similar to runescape it was.  Most of the skills were in place, and such.  The world can hold 2000 players.  And my question was if blitz is going to encounter legal problems since it is becoming a free alternative to runescape.  I have a feeling that classic and most other servers are left alone because of how inferior they were to the actual runescape.  But if the goal of blitz is to completely emulate runescape, then wouldn't this be copywright infringement?

Heres a selection from Runescape's terms of agreement:

Stories / ::PWNMOD
January 21, 2010, 06:25:03 PM
On Tuesday, something incredibly amazing happened.  Here is the story.

Once upon a time, three mods, (Mod Paul, X, and Coleshot1) gathered in a desolate region of the wilderness.  Unbeknownst to them, their very presence of awesomeness caused a rift to appear from the darkness.  A figure slowly appeared from said rift, and his name was JEFFERIST.  Weilding his epic blood barrage he challenged Mod Paul to a DUEL TO THE DEATH.  The two were evenly matched in AWESOMENESS, but Jefferist was EPICLY PWNED.  After recovering from this predictable defeat, Jefferist charged onto X.  X let allowed Jefferist to hit him a few times and them EPICLY PWNED him.  Needing an opponent he could defeat, Jefferist then looked to Coleshot1.  He charged and was EPICLY PWNED.  But then he tried again and this is what happened.

Jefferist was then Triumphantly pwned by Mod Paul, X, and Coleshot1 ALL AT THE SAME TIME.  Then the world ended because that much awesomeness cannot exist without a universal collapse.

THE END.

Why You'd Like to Join the Team:
Since joining Worldscape, I have looked up to the staff and moderators of Worldscape as role-models, and have enjoyed chatting with them.  Also, I have noticed that alot of rule-breaking often goes unnoticed on Worldscape.  I would love to be a moderator to work beside the staff and other mods, and to ensure that Worldscape continues to become a more and more fun environment for players.

What You Enjoy Most From Worldscape:
What I love most is how you get to know the people that you play with.  Time and time again I have met a player selling an item or PKing, getting to know him/her and eventually become friends, all while getting to know that player.  It great to get to know people from faraway places by simple playing a computer game with them.

How You Enjoy Supporting the Community:
I love answering questions that new players approach me with, more so in-game  that on the forums.  I often have players come to me asking for prices on a certain rare item, and I try to the best of my abilities to give them the most accurate answer.  Also, my friend Grimm Jr and I are trying to get the first-ever Role-Playing Worldscape guild off the floor.  I really enjoy taking part in the games on the forums and in-game (such as Hide N' Seek in-game, and Questioning the Question on the forums).  I also love simply chatting in ::lumby or ::etele.

I would be ecstatic to join the team, and cant wait to see your response,

- Jefferist.

Tech Support / Re: Accidently advertised.

Ok.  Would the mute be permanent or just temporary?
And Drunk Mario, I was just fooling around and thought it would be funny to see the message "Jefferist is advertising for another server, bla bla bla..." and literally only typed allgofree.  But if I have to face the consequences, oh well.

Tech Support / Accidently advertised.
January 03, 2010, 01:45:56 AM
i was told that typing "allgofree" would pull up the message "Jefferist is advertising another server! Laugh at the Noob!"  So I did, to be funny.  But I didn't know that it would mute me   :(  Please help?  I didn't actually advertise anything.

Rants / Rare Armors That Go In The Weapons Slot
January 03, 2010, 12:05:43 AM
I really dont have any idea why, but there is alot of rare armor that when I try to put it on, it goes into the weapons slot, which is really annoying when I want to wear my rares in Camp of Fun PK.  It seems like a pretty easy thing to fix, so why is it that way?  An example is the Skeletal Top.  When you wear it, it looks like crap even with no armor on.  I mean, it's a Skeletal Top so shoulden't it go in the slot specifically made for the Tops?  It is also the same with the Boaters and the progress hat.  And even the bonesack and the grain go into the weapons slot.  Aren't they supposed to be worn as capes?  I hope it gets changed, because I don't like it. :( >:( :(

I think the prices of rares vary too much to be put down on the board, that's why nobody has posted anything.

Armour / Buying Skeletal Top
January 02, 2010, 02:03:02 PM
I'm a rare collector and I've been trying to get my hands on a Skeletal Top, but I don't know how much money they go for, so it would be really helpful if I could get a price check on the top so I know not to get ripped off.   And also if you want to sell me one that would be great too.

In-Game Name: Jefferist
Role-Playing Name: Jeffrey D. Ristalain (J.D. For Short)
Character's Traits: Worldly, prying and sharp.  Makes a good first impression on most people.
Character's History/Background: Born in Falador, Jeffrey became a White Knight as his first occupation, and grew high in rank.  But when he caught wind of the sinisterness of the organization, he faked his own death and traveled west to escape his identity.  He accidently stumbled into Relekka, and the Fremminiks were less than pleased to see him.  But after several years of tireless labor to win their trust, he became a steady ally.  He was informed of the daggonoths, and the treasure they guarded, and made it his soul purpose to locate an ancient armor crafted from the bones of a Wallasalki (Walrus thing in the Waterbirth Dungeon).  He has recently come to Ardougne to continue his quest.
