To make thieving more useful can we make an herb stall? It could have all of the types of herbs there, but it'd be good if the usable ones are less likely to be stolen than the ones that you can only clean.

Jake

Support. Either this or make the master farmer give more herbs. That way there'll be more herbs in the game and thieving won't be the useless 10 hour skill that it is :P

only 10 hours?

James

There isn't a herb stall in the client. You can't just "make" objects.

That would require taking away one stall from the game, which we can't do since RuneRebels shares the thieving plugin.

How hard is it to make a custom object? Is it as simple as copying the info of another stall, assigning a new object id, and then renaming it?

Jake

James, can't we just buff the master farmer to give more herbs?

Unfortunately no, because RuneRebels shares the Thieving plugin as well.

And you can't copy objects and assign them new id's, it just doesn't work that way, especially with the 377 client. There's a way to do it for NPC's (basically overwriting another NPC's sprites, and definitions) but there hasn't yet been a way to do that for objects that I'm aware of (at least for the client revision that we're using)

This shared plugin is a pain in the @$§

It has it's benefits, but also definitely has its downsides.

What benefits does it have?

For one, if there's a good idea or something that we want programmed for both servers, it's automatically there. For two, it would've taken a long ass time to rewrite all of the plugins for RuneRebels.
