As many of you new members probably noticed, activation emails, or any emails for that matter, from AllGoFree took quite some time to reach your inbox! (Or Spam/Junk folder
, which isn't my fault
)
This was due to the terrible SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server I was using. It only sent mail out every 5 minutes and crashed constantly. I'm happy to announce that I just found out that the software package that I use for the website and MySQL also comes with Mercury mail, which has several servers in one, including an SMTP server!
As you can see I sent a test message to myself from
noreply@www.allgofree.org, and it arrived very quickly.
So now, all emails from the forum should arrive very quickly!
Also, make sure to check your Spam/Junk folder.
