People keep lying about how long they have played?

So i have been reviewing some of the applications people have turned in for the beta testing. and i have notice that there are alot of people that have been playing for not very long at all and are trying to say that they have played above two years? uhm definately not. i have been active for more than four years minus the few month breaks i take to catchup on some school work, etc. and alot of these players i have never even hurd of. not to mention the fact that their forums profile says that its their first posting, so you know they definately haven't played that long.

i totally agree with you, i even brought it up in-game, it's pretty stupid, why would you need to lie about when you started, it doesn't effect if you have played for longer to be a tester.

I know! It's really sad how people that have played for 3 months say they have played for 2 years Just to get to test the beta. I hope they don't get accepted to test it for lieing.

If you happened to be referring to me.. well I have played as long as I claim I have, just not on this account. My previous accounts were all nooby though, this is my only good one.
But I've been around for quite some time.

Why? It doesn't matter how long you've played necessarily, it depends on what kind of person you are etc. I'm sure Jeremy has a well thought out list of criteria.

Quite right, im not sure how i got along with jeremy now because i haven't seen him in like nearly a year and a half i  hope we still get along tho

people can check on the forum registration, but you maybe always didn't have a forum account, my forum acc were registred short after christmas, but i've played one and a half year, i agree with Travis, some may have other accounts, like my old account, Maxematives. 

But yeah, it's totally annoying.

In my application it says I've been playing for a LONG time. (That's because it's true.)
Just because someone's post count is low, doesn't mean he's been playing for a long time - in my case.
I've had several accounts, oldest I can recount is I K T P Q, even though I know that it is not the oldest one.
